The Kogi State State Independent Electoral Commission has been accused of not making result available to the public 90 days after Local Government Council Election

Executive Director,
Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Lokoja, 90 days after the election no results has been made available after the election was conducted into the local government councils in kogi state on the 12 December 2020.
He noted that the State Independent Electoral Commission SIEC is yet to release the results to the public. Despite colossal amount claimed to have been spent on what he called a Kangaroo election.
According to him in an age digital technology , SIEC in the state has no website, said investigation carried out following the complain receive by CHRCR, many of those engaged during that period and who performed one role or the other are yet to be paid their entitlement.
The activists described the action of SIEC as corruption lamented that despite the huge amount provided for in the 2020 budget, no document has been made available For the purposes of records, research, and documentation, transparency and accountability.
He called on the Kogi State Independent electoral commission and the State government to release without further delay the statistics and details of the local government councils elections conducted on the 12 December 2020.
