Ahead of the official take off of the Lokoja Mega Park, a call for the Kogi State Government to build a Flyover Bridge for pedestrian to cross has been advocated.
Making the call in Lokoja, a labour leader, Comr. Simeon Opaluwa said in view of the heavy traffic along the corridor and the expected volume of vehicles entering the park, the need to build a pedestrian bridge crossing has become necessary.
The labour leader said the pedestrian bridge would avoid people entering and coming out of the park from being hit and knocked down by vehicles.
Comr Opaluwa called for the speedy construction of the bridge, said if not done, disaster is waiting at the wing, urged for preventive measures.
A stitch in time Comr. Opaluwa explained should be the watchword, commended the Initiatives to put the park to use.
