

.. Karimi says it is victory for all.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, has declared Sen. Sunday Karimi, winner of the last National Assembly election held for Kogi West.
The Appeal Court in a unanimous judgment delivered today, said the petition could not prove his allegations, insisting that the election was freely won by Sen. Karimi.
The Court held that the election was free, fair and credible, having met with the substantial compliance, threw away the petition and declared that the APC Candidate won the election, affirmed the election result in the 2023 Senatorial Election.
Reacting to the judgment, Sen. Karimi said it is a glorious beginning for the development and progress of the Senatorial District.
“Today, every legal battle that has constituted a distraction to the delivery of democracy has been finally laid to rest and now maximum attention will be given to delivery of our campaign promises of qualitative, equal opportunity representation”.
“I will like to state unequivocally that this victory is victory for all. I hereby call on all indigenes of Kogi West Senatorial District across party lines, including my brothers who we contested the election together, to join hands with me in our shared vision of improving the living standards of our people. Your contributions in whatever form will be greatly appreciated”.

Your relentless efforts have propelled me to emerge victorious in this crucial legal battle, thereby ensuring that the will of the majority of Kogi West people prevailed”.
