The Kogi State Commissioner For Water Resources, Hon. Abdulmumin Danga has advised the people of Lokoja metropolis to cultivate the habit of storing water as often atimes the Ministry may embark on maintenance of its machines.
The Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. (Dr.) Abdulmumin Danga gave the charge when he received in audience the representatives of critical stakeholders from Lokoja metropolis in his office complex today, said technical cum logistics challenges are factors militating against the operation of the Ministry.
He pointed out that most times chemical processing, repairs of breakages in various lines of supply and electrical issues may lead to shortage or delay in pumping and providing water, reason why he is advising that while the Ministry has been repositioned to provide regular potable water, however asked the people to also cultivate the act of storing water.
Hon. Danga once again reiterated that the GYB led Administration will stop at nothing in providing water and other social amenities to the citizenry, enjoined the people of Kogi State to intensify their prayers and support for GYB led Administration in Kogi and Nigeria at large.
The Commissioner who took time during the visit to highlight so many efforts of the government in providing water for the people of Lokoja metropolis and the citizens of Kogi State, assured that the present administration would not shirk in its responsibilities.
The Leader of the group Mr. Mike Abu who also doubles as the editor-in-chief of Nigeria Post online Media outfit appreciated the Hon. Commissioner for the good works he has been doing in terms of water supply for the people, further appreciated him for his quick response to the plight of the people especially in Lokoja metropolis, urged him to open lines of communication for people to know the efforts and challenges of the Ministry as regards water supply now and at all times.
Also speaking, Hon. Solomon Agada, the editor, Trust paper and online media appreciated the Hon. Commissioner for his prompt intervention to water issues anytime there’s an issue, and further appreciated him for his attention and adequate response in receiving calls from various angles anytime.
Hon. Agada appreciated GYB for appointing such a diplomatic, kind hearted, friendly, proactive, competent, energetic and workaholic young man as Commissioner for Water Resources, he further appreciate the Hon. Commissioner for making himself available for all.
Mrs. Abu Ebura and Mrs. Halima Hussaini from Better Women and Lokoja APC Woman development respectively, appreciated the Hon. Commissioner for providing water for the people of Lokoja metropolis and further pleaded for more pressure in the supply of water for them living in upland.
