KOGI TSO EXCOS PASSES VOTE-OF-NO-CONFIDENCE ON THE STATE COORDINATOR, HON. MUSA ASIRU BAKARE


In an emergency meeting of State Executive Members of Tinubu Support Organization in Kogi State held on 21st May, 2022 at Liberty Hotel in Lokoja the capital city of the State, majority members in attendance unanimously passed a Vote-of-No-Confidence on the leadership of the organization in the State, Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare.

 

The executive members of TSO in the State displeased with the manner in which Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare leadership of the organization cited two major reasons for his multiple incompetencies vis-a-vis; his high handedness in discipline of members and unilateral removal of executive members of the organization in the State which is in contravention of Article 14.4 Clause D of the Constitution of Tinubu Support Organization, 2019.

“We are displeased with the unceremonious removal and replacement of some State Executive Members and Local Government Coordinators by the State Coordinator, Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare” the resolution read in part.

Continuing further, it states that “we have tried unabatedly to put the State Coordinator, Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare on the threshold of constitutionalism which is the foundation of our enviable organization, the Tinubu Support Organization.”

“We are aware that our Principal Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose presidential aspiration the TSO is a proud mobiliser of support from all over the country including the diaspora chapters is a man who is committed to constitutional ways of doing things” the resolution read.

Also the segment of the resolution read that “It is however unfortunate that the Kogi State Coordinator, Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare has continued to act in defiance to the Constitution of TSO that he knows well to be above him.”

Quoting the provisions of the TSO Constitution, the state executive members maintained that they are backed up by the provisions of Article 14.4 Clause D of the Constitution relating to a manner of removing any member of the State Executive Committee.

The leading cause read as follows;
D. REMOVAL.

i. A member of the State Executive Committee may be removed from such position by the resolution of the Members of the State Executive Committee for misconduct or any act inconsistent with the aims and objectives of the organization or conducting himself in a manner incompatible with his position as a member of the State Executive Committee of the organization.

ii. For the purpose of Di above 2/3 majority of the Members of the State Executive Committee is required.

The State Executive Members who were unilaterally removed and replaced by the State Coordinator are; Zonal Coordinator-East, State Director of Welfare and the State Organizing Secretary.

Also some Local Government Area Coordinators were successfully removed. The LGA concerned are; Koto Karfe, Lokoja, Idah, Ankpa, Ofu, Dekina, Igalamela/Odolu, Olamaboro, Omala, Okene, Okehi, Adavi, Ajaokuta and Lokoja Federal Constituency Coordinator.

The State executive members appealed to the National Director- General of the organization, Hon. Aminu Suleiman to wade into the personality crisis of the State leadership about to devour the efforts and selfless contributions of the lovers of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the roles of TSO in pioneering the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju.

In attendance at the meeting were the three Assistant Coordinators in the State who were designated by the State Coordinator as Zonal Coordinators for their respective Senatorial districts. They are; Hon. Gimba Umar for Kogi West, Hon. Amodu Yakubu A. for Kogi East and Hon. Yusuf Omeiza for Kogi Central.

Also in attendance were the State Woman Leader, Hajiya Rekiya Tijani, State Director of Planning, Gimba M.K, State Deputy Dir. of Welfare, Lawal El-Alamin Jiya, Lokoja Coordinator, Hon. Ramatu Muhammed, Danjuma Suleiman K., State Director of Mobilisation, Yusuf Nagari Ali, Muhammed M. and the State Director of Media and Publicity, Abdullahi Suleiman Otiwe.

The meeting ended with confidence and hope that Kogi TSO members will continue to give their unalloyed support to the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to emerge as the next President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023.
