KOGI STATE Executive Chairperson of Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission, Cook Cicilia Enezoza has expressed her firmness of purpose to collaborate necessarily with non-Governmental Organisations, Communities, private sector and ALUMNI to establish LIBRARIES in secondary Schools across the State.
COOK stated this in Lokoja, the State Capital while answering questions from Newsmen from the side line of 2021 world Book day celebration .
While describing education as central to the much needed national rebirth, re-engineering economic growth and development for the country to occupy its rightful place on the table of civilised humanity, COOK Enezoza regretted that poor reading culture resulting from non existence of libraries is a factor affecting the parlous State of education in the Society .
According to the STTCOM boss, education seeks knowledge, enlightenment, sharpen innovation, creativity, and ability to harness the forces of nature insisting that the state Science, technical education and teaching service commission under her watch will fast-forward the acquisition of knowledge , skill, competencies and academic knowledge necessary to either get employed by employers of Labour or become self -employed.
“The commission has packaged a program with the theme: ” Readers are Leaders “it is meant to bring rebirth in reading habit in our Schools in the State.’
COOK CECILIA, commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his administration’s enormous human and material resources investments in the education which are visible for all eyes to see saying that the Governor’s pragmatic action since he took over the mantle of leadership of the State was because of his educational accomplishments.
ON SCHOOLS RESUMPTION Cook Cicilia, urged school administrators and teachers to hit the ground running by providing immediate Lecture to students and punish late comers to serve as corrective measures to others.
