Kogi State Mourns the Loss of a Political Icon: Senator (Dr) Alex Kadiri Passes On at 82
Former Minister, Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni, has expressed shock and sadness over the passing of Senator (Dr) Alex Kadiri, a seasoned technocrat and politician, who died at the age of 82 in a hospital in Abuja.
Senator Kadiri, who celebrated his 82nd birthday last week, was a distinguished public servant who rose to the position of Director-General in the civil service and later represented Kogi East in the National Assembly, Abuja. He was known for his wise counsel, commitment to justice, equity, and fairness, and his dedication to the development of Kogi State.
Professor Ocheni joined the government and people of Kogi State in mourning the loss of their illustrious son, describing his demise as a great loss to the state and nation. He praised Senator Kadiri’s courage in standing up for truth and his sacrifice for the peace, unity, and development of Kogi State.
