… WORK ONGOING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF AUTOMATED WEATHER STATION.
The Vice Chancellor, Kogi State University, Anyigba, Prof. Marietu Tenuche, has Commended the Kogi State Government for installing manual whether station at the University.
Prof. Tenuche gave the Commendation when she and her management team visited the Site earlier today to see the installed Manual Weather Station, which is in the heart of the University.
She expressed her gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the laudable Project through the instrumentality of Kogi NEWMAP, thanked him for providing the University Community with a state of the art weather station, which she said would also be useful to the State as whole.
She pointed out that the manual whether stations would be used for measurement of atmospheric conditions to provide information for weather forecasts like temperatures, relative humidity, rainfall, wind and speed direction, added that it will also go a long way in strengthening Training, Research and Development.
She equally promised to render every necessary support for the security and sustainability of the Project, Commended NEWMAP for delivering the project in good time and thanked the Kogi NEWMAP for a job well done.
