Association of Heads of Federal Establishments, Kogi State chapter has re-elected Mrs. Oluwatoyin Olugbami as Chairman, for a second term of three years.
The Association which comprises of all Federal MDA’S( Ministry / Departments/Agencies) heads in Kogi State, had the election, on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at ITF Conference Room, Zone 8, Lokoja, Kogi State.
In her acceptance speech, the re-elected Chairman, Mrs. Oluwatoyin O. Olugbami appreciated members of the Association for their support in the first tenure which culminated in a list of 24 achievements.
She solicited members’ cooperation to enable the newly constituted Exco achieve more in this new tenure .
Olugbami mentioned some ongoing projects including the Association’s End of Year Party scheduled for Thursday, December,
8, 2022;, Completion of the ongoing renovation of Federal Staff School owned by the Association, building of a befitting Secretariat complex for the Association and inauguration of the National Association of Heads of Federal Establishments resuscitated by her.
Others include: fostering better cordial relationship among Heads of Federal Agencies in Kogi state, giving prompt attention to settling issues that may arise among Agencies and between Employees and Agencies and more cooperation among States’ AHFEs, while meeting individual members needs on various subject matters at different member-Organisations as they arise.
She was full of gratitude to the Grand Patron of the Association,
the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, Patrons of the Association, Kogi state SSG, Dr(Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, Head of Service Mrs. Hannah Ohinoyi, MD of NIWA, Dr. George N. Moghalu and Vice Chancellor of FUL, Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi Durotimi for their support in her first tenure and pleaded for a rekindled support for the Association in this new administration as she promised readiness of the Exco to give it’s best to the Association.
Olugbami, who is the Controller of Labour with Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment called on members of the new Executive Council whom she referred to as co-travellers, to be ready to perform the functions of their offices as stipulated in the Constitution of the Association, and be ready to do more to achieve more than the previous tenure as most of them are re-elected.
She wished all member travel mercies during the imminent Yuletide.
Other members of the Executive Council are: Audu Gabriel of Federal Character Commission (Vice Chairman); Benjamin John, of Federal University, Lokoja (Secretary-General), Elder Baba J. A. of Fed. Ministry of Education(Asst. Sec.General; Christiana J. Essien of NIWA(Financial Secretary) Barr. Ilesanmi A. Idowu of NSITF (Publicity Secretary) and Ebunlomo Olaitan, Federal Pay Officer, Lokoja (Treasurer).
