Kogi NULGE Felicitates With Muslims, Calls For Prayers For Kogi State, Gov. Ododo’s Administration.
The Kogi State President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Comr. Mohammed Sanusi,
has felicitated with members in the celebration of this year’s Eid el Kabir celebration.
In a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja and signed by Comr. Sanusi, urged the Muslim Ummah to harness their thoughts and energies towards the development of the state and country.
The President congratulated the Muslims on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. He said: “As we celebrate, I urge the Muslim Ummah, particularly NULGE Members and indeed all people of goodwill to remember the lessons of the celebration which is sacrifice, obedience and love.
” Without mincing words, the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo has started well. He has given a new face to Local Government Administration by improved welfare and prompt payment of salaries”.
” We cannot but continue to pray for the present administration to succeed. We in NULGE, make bold to score the administration excellent marks in all sectors, particularly in it efforts to reposition the Local Government Administration in the State”.
“I urge members to channel their thoughts and energies in a positive direction to help the government realize its dreams of a better state and country for us all. The Muslim community should continue to join hands with people of other faith to maintain the peace in the state, as peace is a precondition for development.
“I pray that Allah in his abiding mercy will grant journey mercies to all faithful who are in the Holy land for the Hajj.
