Gov. Yahaya Bello has been adviced to look in the way of Kogi East, with Chief Edward Onoja as the Flagbearer for November governorship election in choosing the next Governor of the State.
Lokoja 2 APC Democratic Stakeholders Decides, gave the advice after a critical look at the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly Election results from the State.
The Stakeholders disclosed that following what happened at the last Presidential and Assembly Election in Kogi State, Kogi East stands better chance to deliver the State in the forthcoming November governorship election.
While pointing out that in the last election, the APC managed to win their Local Government Areas for APC, reason why such factors need to be considered in choosing the Flagbearer.
According to the Stakeholders, places like Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi West, ADC seemed to have strongholds in such places, pointing out that it is only in Lokoja, Kogi LGA that the APC.
Similarly, the APC stakeholders added that in Kogi Central from the results from the last election, PDP seems to have almost taken away Kogi Central, pointing out that it is only in Okene LGA that the APC did better.
The stakeholders explained that it is only in Kogi East that the APC stands better chance in producing a candidate and winning overwhelmingly, explaining that if the APC in interested in winning the Governorship, they should give it to Chief Edward Onoja, the present Deputy Governor.
The Stakeholders said with Chief Onoja as the APC Flagbearer, the Party will continue in the governance of the State as it stands better chance to win
