The women campaign team wing of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Leke/Omede Governorship election in Kogi State have been inaugurated.
The women Campaign team was inaugurated on Tuesday, October 3rd by the governorship candidate, Elder Leke Abejide, immediately after the National Chairman of the Party, ADC, Chief Ralph Nwosu inaugurated the general Campaign Council.
Elder Abejide said he personally inaugurated the women campaign team because he believes in the power of women. ” I believe that, giving them the autonomy to operate, will enhance their capacity, performance and add value to the overall success of the November 11,2023 election.”
A statement by the State Public Relations Officer (PRO) for women/Kogi East Zonal Coordinator Women, Mrs Onu Joy said, “As a result of the above, The women campaign team will release their campaign list any moment from now”.

Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Esther Abejide as The Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Hajia Mrs Fatima Omede, Wives of the Governorship Candidate, Elder Leke Abejide and the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Dr. Idris Omede respectively.
The General/State Coordinator, Chief Mrs Ebun Joel thanked the governorship candidate and his wife for always giving the women opportunities and freedom to do their best.
Mrs Ebun Joel promised that the women will do the needful for a successful outcome of the election.
“We will intensify more efforts on the door to door, house to house campaign, to reach out to more families across the state, so help us, GOD”. She added.
