Kogi Govt. Takes Steps to Revitalize Ugwolawo Water Facility With Inspection By Water Resources Commissioner.
The Kogi State Government has begun the process to revitalize the water facilities at Ugwolawo, Ofu LGA.
The effort followed the visit of the State Commissioner For Water Resources, Engr Yahaya MD Farouk to Water Facilities at Ugwolawo.
The Commissioner disclosed that his visit as directed by Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo is for an on the spot assessment that would lead to fixing the challenges facing the water facilities.
The Commissioner assured that aside the water facilities at Ugwolawo, the State Government is resolved to make all water facilities in the State work.
The administration, the Commissioner observed places high premium on the provision of potable water, thus making the sector top in priority of the administration’s thematic area.
He described Gov. Ododo as a people centred leader who is concerned about the well-being of the people, assured that the Ugwolawo water facilities will be resuscitated in no distant time.
The Commissioner was accompanied on the visit visit by the Chairman, Transition Committee.
As part of the visit, Engr. Farouk paid a visit to Chief of Ugwolawo to intimate him of the State Government plans to revitalize the Ugwolawo water works.
