These were the words of Emeritus Professor, Salisu Attai Atakida, All Progressives Congress stalwart from Idah LGA, urged Alhaji Jibrin to accept the call for him to run.
Speaking with the Nigerian Post in Lokoja, the Professor of Mathematics said he and other league of Professors and other intellectuals are seriously mounting pressure on Alh Jibrin to accept the call to run, pointing out that he is eminently fit to do well if he emerge as the Governor of the State.
While pointing out that the stake for who govern the State in the forthcoming dispensation is not about Party and where a person comes from but the ability to deliver, said Alhaji Jibrin has all it takes to close the gap and restore the lost glory of the wasted years.
While pointing out that the forthcoming Governorship election would be a defining moments for the State, reason why experience, capacity and ability to Unite the various segments of the State should be the criteria to elect the next governor.
What Kogi State needs moving forward he added is a home base Technocrat, Administrator and Politician who has an understanding of the people of Kogi State, described Alhaji Jibrin as having all it takes to reposition the State for infrastructure and economic development.
Prof. Salisu urged Alhaji Jibrin to accept the call to run, pointing out that he would be doing the people a greatest disservice not accepting the call, described the defeaning calls from across the State as one borne out of the passion for purposeful leadership.
