The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja has commiserated with former Senior Special Assistant, Students Affairs, Hon. Joshua Omonu, over the death of his mother, Mrs Patricia Ojochide Omonu nee Akoh.
Late Mrs. Patricia died yesterday after a brief illness, hails from Ogugu, Olamboro LGA at the age of 53.
The Kogi State Deputy Governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Sunday Faleke, who was on a condolence visit to commiserate with Omonu family, said he shares in the moment of grief of the entire Omonu family, particularly the former Senior Special Assistant, urged him and other members of the family to take solace in the good legacies there mother left behind.
He urged the entire family to be consoled by the fact that it is God who gives, said this is not the best time to ask questions, sympathised with the family in this trying period.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mrs Idoko Ele Josephine, expressed gratitude to the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja for his show of love in this time of grief, described him as a true father, thanked him for providing for them a shoulder to lean on.
Several top aides of the Deputy Governor accompanied him on the visit.
