A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State Hon. Saidu Akawu Salihu has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for the smooth take-off of voting process in Kogi Local Government Area of the State.
Hon. Akawu made the commendation during an interaction with newsmen after performing his civic responsibility at his polling unit, in Kotonkarfe.
He particularly commended the electoral umpire for the prompt deployment of election materials and other logistics.
In his words: “my observation so far is that (election) materials came on time, as well as the security (agencies). Everybody is voting under a very conducive environment. INEC so far have been highly efficient.”
He acknowledged the passion of the electorate who are very eager to perform their civic rights: “it is understandable because there is a lot of passion for this election.
For now we hope the process will go smoothly and we do not envisage any problems till the end.”
