The Senator Elect, Kogi Central Senatorial District, Engr Abubakar Ohere has described the wild jubilation that heralded his collection of certificate of Return by people of Kogi Central as a good omen.
Engr Ohere stated this while speaking with Newsmen shortly after he was presented his Certificate in Abuja, said the wild jubilation today, was like the first day, he was declared winner in the 25th February National Assembly Election, said they people’s jubilation was a confirmation that what they have struggled for has been realized.
Engr. Ohere said he is happy that the Central Senatorial District was agog, pointing out that the jubilation was because of the intimidation, antics and mischief that accompanied the election by the opposition, expressed appreciation for the solid support of the people, insisting that the position of a Senator would be used to impact the lives of the people.
” People of Central Senatorial District know my antecedents as a poor person who have always associated with the downtrodden, reason why every one and every home in Central is today happy with my presentation of Certificate of Return”.
” My convenant with God is for him not to give me any office I can’t use to impact the people. By God giving me this position, it is a hope for all in Kogi Central that something good is ahead for the people”.
Engr. Ohere used the opportunity to thank Gov. Yahaya Bello for identifying and showcasing him to the world, described the State Governor as a destiny helper who identified his potentials and brought him to limelight.
Engr Ohere says if Gov. Bello had not discovered him, the world wouldn’t have known him, appreciated the governor for appointing him as Special Adviser, Commissioner on two occasion, said he remains immensely grateful for the discovery and for showcasing him to the world.
” I want to sincerely thank all the cabinet members, beginning with the Deputy Governor, and other members for believing in him, promised to justify the confidence reposed on him with a promise not to disappoint them in the coming years.
