Kidnappers Demand N30m as where about of eight Kidnapped ceramic workers in Kogi Still Unknown


 

The whereabout of eight Kidnapped ceramic workers is still unknown, even as the Kidnappers are demanding N30m from the abductors.

Speaking with one of the family member who would not want his name mentioned, said the Kidnappers have opened up communications with the family.

He disclosed that the Kidnappers are demanding the sum of N30m, but said the demand is outrageous as the family members of the victims would not be able to raise such amount.

Recalled that some unknown gunmen, two days ago kidnapped eight workers working with a Ceramic company in Kogi State.

It was gathered that the incident happened at the early hours of Tuesday in Emiworo under Ajaokuta Local Government Area of the State.

It was learnt also that the workers were abducted while loading stones which is expected to be delivered in the ceramic site located in Itobe.

The suspected criminals who were fully armed according to sources whisked away their victims to an unknown destination.

One of the victim was identified as Hassan Shaibu.

Shaibu wife who spoke to our correspondent confirmed the kidnap of her husband.

She said” Yes, my husband was among those ceramic workers kidnapped in Emiworo”.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, DSP William Ovye Aya confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Wednesday evening.

Aya, however, said six mining workers of West African Ceramic were kidnapped.

According to him, the Police in collaboration with sister security agencies is combing the bushes to ensure that the abducted miners regained freedom from their abductors.
