Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Progressive Caucus of the Kabba/Bunu Legislative Council has joined other well meaning personalities across the country to endorse the presidential aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
The Councilors disclosed this yesterday in a press conference held at Ajike Hotel, Kabba through the Deputy Council leader, Hon. Smart Adekunle.
According to them, it has become imperative for the council have examined the activities of Governor Yahaya Bello since he assumed office in 2016 and unanimously resolved to endorse him for the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria considering his landmark achievements in the area of security, infrastructure development, civil service reform, appointment of credible individuals from Okun Area into sensitive positions which has never happened before.
They urged Nigerians to rally round a candidate like him being a youth who believe in the overall development of Nigeria, stressing that he is a unifier, detribalized and a goal getter.
In the same vein, the Councilors also called and endorsed the House of Representatives aspiration of Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole to represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency come 2023.
According to them, the Speaker is an achiever who has distinguished himself as the representative of people at the state level, pointing out that the ongoing construction of Kabba township roads is not without his lobby acumen hence if given a higher responsibility he will do more for the Constituency.
The Councilors said, the Speaker being one of the biggest financial pillar of the All Progressive Congress in Kabba/Bunu aside his monumental achievements in youth empowerment, skill acquisition program, widow empowerment, noted that his leadership has remain one of the best that promote cordial working relationship with the Executive for the betterment of the state.
