House of Reps Member Gets 48hrs To Account For SUV
A Socio- Cultural Group, the Benin Solidarity Movement, BSM, Worldwide, has called on the National Assembly member representing Uhunmwonde and Orhionmwon Federal Constituency Hon. Billy Osawaru, to immediately respond to the allegation of having sold off the official SUV Jeep that was given to him for the primary purpose of his Constituency.
The group Alleged that ,Hon. Billy Osawaru sold off the official SUV Jeeps that was giving to him for the primary purpose of his Constituency.
The group in a statement signed by Elder Comrade Curtis Eghosa Ugbo,
and Comrade Osayande Osaghae Goodluck ,President and Secretary
Benin Solidarity Movement BSM Worldwide , and made available to newsmen in Benin City , said Honourable Billy Osawaru should tell the Constituents what happened to the SUV given to him by the presidency.
According to them, “we are giving him , Osawaru 48 hours to reply to our request or we will have no choice but to take Legal action against him and others, we will not condone such illegal acts by politicians who are supposed to represent the interest of the people.” They stated .
The release, : The attention of the Benin Solidarity Movement BSM Worldwide has been drawn to the illegal and questionable act by some Edo State National Assembly members that have sold off their official SUV Jeeps that was giving to them for the primary purpose of their Constituency.
“We have it in good record that Hon. Billy Osawaru sold off his multi million SUV official car immediately it was assigned to him, meanwhile we are still investigating the second National Assembly member that also sold off his official SUV Jeep and to us this act is criminal and do not go down well with us as Concerned Citizens of Edo State.
“We are hereby using this medium to call on the above mentioned National Assembly member representing Uhunmwonde and Orhionmwon Federal Constituency Hon. Billy Osawaru, to immediately respond to us within 48 hours or we will have no choice but to take Legal action against him and others, we will not condone such illegal acts by politicians who are supposed to represent the interest of the people”. They concluded.
