HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SCREENS TWO DG OF STATE, LG PENSION BOARD FOR CONFIRMATION IN NIGER.

The Acting Director general of State Pension Board, Nasiru Saidu Namaska and that of the Local Government, Honorable Emmanuel Ndazwa Alamu have been charged to use their wealth of knowledge to address the plight of Retirees in the state.

 

 

The Chairman House committee on labour and productivity, Honorable Malik Madaki Bosso in an interview with Newsmen at the House of Assembly after the screening of the two Director’s Generals, stated that they were nominated base on merit, hence need for them to discharge their duty diligently to achieve the set target.

Hon. Malik Madaki Bosso mentioned that they are expected to use their wealth of experience to alleviate the suffering of Retirees in the state,”we advise you that been the first appointment, you should see yourselves as an icon, so that any person coming after you will see the solid foundation you have made to build on”.

He urged them to do everything possible to rectify the challenges the boards are been faced with,most especially now that Retirees are protesting because of the inability of the Government to settle them their gratuities and other related Pension benefits in the state.

He particularly urged the Director general of local government Pension Board to ensure that he reposition the board,admitting that it is marred by irregularities as file’s are been recycled for multiple payment of death Gratuities and Gratuities of Retirees.

He told them to explore all evenue to put a smile on faces of Retirees,”the house of Assembly will assist you if need be in all reminifications that can enable you to succeed”.

Addressing Newsmen immediately after the screening exercise at House of Assembly complex, the Director General State Pension Board, Nasiru Saidu Namaska stated that the board has started discussing with the Authority concerned on  how to settle Pensioners their benefits.

Nasiru Namaska assured that goverment is doing everything humanly possible to settle them their gratuities and other benefits.

He then appealed to Retirees in the state to exercise patient as Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is on top of the situation and very soon something shall be done to ease the their suffering.
