In a strategic move to bolster the political strength of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB, led other APC leaders in harvesting over 300 decampees from various political parties in Iluke ward of Bunu district.
Among the notable decampees are Pastor Felix Oni, the immediate past Deputy governorship candidate of the NNPP, as well as Chief Babatunde Inumotole Obamuwe, Mr. Ariyo Dayo Aroniyo (Arose), and Adebayo Frank Olorunfemi, who have all made the switch from parties such as PDP, NNPP, ADC, and SDP to APC.
Hon. Wemi Jones expressed his enthusiasm at the influx of new members, stating that their entrance into the APC will significantly enhance the party’s political foothold in the district. He assured the decampees of inclusiveness within the party and urged them to continue their support for the Governor Usman Ododo led administration for further development in the state.
The event, which witnessed the defection of prominent individuals from different political backgrounds, also had other stakeholders in attendance, including Comdr. Jerry Omodara, Hon.
