HON. FANWO CHARGES INFORMATION OFFICERS ON EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE.


 

The Commissioner of Information and Communications, Hon Kingsley Fanwo,has charged Information Officers to be extraordinary in their performance.

Hon Fanwo gave this charge in his office during the interactive session between him and the information officers of the various MDAs.

Hon Fanwo commended them for their success stories and achievements recorded so far adding that there is room to do more and add more efforts to their performance.

He added that he is putting things in place for the training of information officers not only in Kogi state but outside Kogi state as well, so that the Information Officers can stand tall and compete with others and get themselves aligned with the new trends of reporting,advising information officers to be more creative in their performance and called on the information officers to be goal getters so that together they can achieve success and learn from one another, because no man is an Island.

He implored them to exchange the knowledge gained, and be well informed in order to report well,pointing out that activities are not 6considered done until they are reported charging them to avoid under-reportiing

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry Mr. Teddy Adegbola, implored the commissioner to see to it that some things are done concerning the. Press Center in the ministry as well as the provision of working tools to enhance optimum performance of the Information Officers .

The Director Information Services [DIS] Mr. Sunday Adeniyi and all other Directors present expressed their gratitude to the Hon. Commissioner for creating an enabling environment for them to work and for meeting up with the challenges the ministry is facing, appreciating him for bringing Radio Kogi back on air.

They further appealed to the commissioner to create a working plan for the year, as it would guide the activities of the information officers for the period of the year, charging the information officers to put more efforts in discharging their duties and make themselves relevant in their MDAs.

Responding, the Information Officers appreciated the commissioner for granting them audience through the interactive session and promised to do more in discharging their duties.
