Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael Excited At Rehabilitation Of Kabba Water Project, Commends Gov Ododo’s Purposeful Leadership

 

Earlier yesterday, the pragmatic Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael received a team of delegation from the Kogi State Ministry of Water Resources on an inspection to Kabba waterworks project, expressed his satisfaction at the governor’s approval to rehabilitate Kabba water scheme.

He said the plan to resuscitate waterworks in the local government area is geared towards improving access and availability of safe, climate-resilient water in Kabba metropolis.

The chairman, who showed his excitement after inspecting the ongoing water project said that it is expected to supply Kabba residents with 1 million gallons of water per day after completion.

Zacchaeus spoke during a working visit to Kabba Water Works, inspecting the ongoing civil works that lasted for over two hours, assured residents of portable water soon.

In his remark, the honourable Commissioner of Water Resources, Engr Yahaya M.D Farouk thanked the chairman for a warmth reception, saying the procurement process for rehabilitating the waterworks project was underway. The bidding procedure is expected to conclude at the end of April, after which the contractor will be mobilized to the site.

Hon (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael added that the vision of the administration of Gov Ododo was to be a model in the management of vibrant, well-developed, and sustainable communities towards achieving the dream of a Greater Kogi State.

He, therefore, commended Governor Usman Ododo for his commitment and support to the development of communities across the state through the provision of critical and vital infrastructural interventions, such as rural roads, rural electrification, and water schemes.
