Hon. Olugbenga Agbona (aka King of Boys), a PDP Vice Chairmanship Candidate in the last Council election of Mopamuro LGA, has expressed shock over the sudden death of Hon Olorunjuwon Michael (aka Ijoba) describing it as a great loss to him and the entire PDP as a party.
The late Hon. Michael was the Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last Mopamuro LGA council election.
A statement by Hon. Agbona made available to journalists in Lokoja on Saturday, said the demise of Hon. Michael was a personal loss to him and the entire PDP in Mopamuro, saying it would be difficult to fill his vacuum.
Hon. Agbona described the late Hon Michael as an excellent leader and astute politician with a difference, loved by his people.
”A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved.
”Our collective hearts are heavy with sympathy as a party over the death of our beloved PDP chairmanship candidate in last Mopamuro council election.
”No word can describe how painful and devastating we are for this irreplaceable loss. Our deepest sympathy to the family he left behind.
”We will surely missed him greatly. We pray God to grant his wife, children, family and the entire PDP as a party the fortitude to bear this great irreparable loss”, Agbona said.
He prayed God to grant the departed soul an eternal rest!
The late Ijoba as he was popularly called as a grassroot politician, was a former Councillor of Ward 01 in Mopamuro, and had held many other political appointments at one point or the other.
