Graphics New MD/CEO Resumes Office, Promise To Turnaround State Newspaper

 

The new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Graphic Newspaper, Mr. Yusuf Jimoh Itopa has officially resumed office on Monday at the Lokoja head office of the newspaper, promised to work towards actualising the vision of the founding fathers to move the paper to the next level.

Mr. Itopa described his appointment as one for greater service in ensuring that the grassroots are informed of the program and policies of the present administration.

He described the administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo as one resolved on total transformation of the State, urged for the support of the Staff of the Graphics Newspaper in achieving the set objectives of the present administration.

“I want to thank His Excellency for counting me fit for this appointment and I promise not to disappoint in any way”.

” My deep appreciation also goes to all those working with Gov. Ododo who found me worthy of this appointment. I thank the Commissioner for Information for the support, assured of his loyalty to the present administration.

“Having been part of the team here once, I will work alongside with the team on the ground to actualise the vision of the founding fathers of the newspaper and move this organization to the next level where it can compete favourably with other papers without loosing focus of the vision of our founding fathers.”

Amoka Eneji- Caretaker Chairman Okehi local Government area, where Itopa hailed from who was ground to witness the occasion described the appointment as “well deserving to our worthy son in the local government area adding that he is a round peg in round hole”.

“I have no doubt that he will reposition the paper to meet the challenges ahead, given his pedigree as an astute professional journalist. He is a round peg in a round hole” he added.
