Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has been praised for his counterpart contribution towards World Bank Assisted Project in the state .
The Head Projects Finance Management Untts of the World Bank in the state , Mrs Memunat Ogirima gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen on the ongoing projects execution under the World Bank Assisted Projects in her office Lokoja.
Mrs. Memunat Ogirima said some established of World Bank Assisted Project unit’s in the state have lived up to expectations by embarking on projects that impacted possivitively on the lives of the Kogi citizen,.
She disclosed that NEWMAP Department has done a lot items of erosion control in many communities in the state, such communities she mentioned include Ibaji, Agassa, Ozokutu, Ankpa and Okpo axis of Kogi State.
According to her, some projects are rounding up in the next few weeks, adding that more projects would come up at the second phase so that more communities ravaging with erosion would be attended to soon.
The Head , Projects Finance Management Unit’s also disclosed that after the closure of this face other aspect would be looked into , explained that ANRIN which mostly deal with Nutrition would support rural communities items of suppliments to the rural areas of the state.
Mrs Memunat Ogirima. pointed out that the World Bank Assisted Projects also has APPEAL Program in the state which usually assist farmers, Youth and Women in twenty one local government area Kogi State.
Other projects in the state she also mentioned include Value Chain, Cassava Value Chain, Cashew which also assist farmers, youths and through Some interest groups that form themselves into Clausters and have their support from APPEAL.
She also said that over one thausand seven hundred women and Youths actually be trained to carry out APA CULTURE, Poutory farming and other farms activities, while some have started receiving alerts in their different Banks account.
Other World Bank Assisted Projects also known as RAMP, Rural Agricultural Mobility Project is working effectively to fully take off, adding all necessary documentation have already been put in place with the Federal Government and World Bank.
She also commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his commitment to ensure that the project are taking off for the benefits of the people of the state, adding that her office would work accidiciously to ensure that all World Bank Assisted Projects meet it’s target.
