The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Engr. Bashiru Gegu has empowered youths and women loyal to Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC in Kogi Local Government Area.
The Commissioner made the presentation at the weekend, urged the youths and women who are beneficiaries of motorcycles and cash to continue to remain supportive of the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello and the APC.
Engr. Bashiru described the present administration as one that has made Kogi Local Government Area a priority in terms of appointments and infrastructure, said to whom much is given, so much is expected, solicited continued support and prayers for Gov. Bello.
Engr Bashiru thanked Gov. Yahaya Bello for Sacrificing for the people of Kogi Local Government Area said he has also joined him to extend the sacrifices to the people through empowerment and cash presentation.
The Commissioner used the opportunity to call on the people to use the ongoing revalidation exercise to register in the APC, described the party as one concerned about the well-being of the people.
Engr. Bashiru said the empowerment is in recognition of the patient, loyalty and commitment of the GYB youths in the constituency to Gov. Bello and the APC, assured that many more empowerment would come there way.
Three motorcycles were handed over to some youths while several widows went home with some cash amounts.
Expressing their appreciation, the beneficiaries lauded the political style of Engr. Bashiru Gegu, described him as a man who has carried the people’s burden effortlessly and joyfully, prayed God to guide and reward him abundantly.
