Eng. Iduseri Presents ₦14.84bn Budget; “Tagged Budget Of Consolidation And Sustainable Development”

The chairman of Oredo local government council, Engr. Gabriel Iduseri on Wednesday presented the 2026 Budget at the Council’s Secretariat in Benin City.
Presenting the budget , the Council Boss noted that the Budget is designed to accelerate grassroots development across all wards in Oredo Local Government Area.
Engr. Iduseri stated that the N6,772,250,000.00(Six Billion, Seven Hundred and Seventy Two Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) is earmarked for Capital Expenditure, representing a strong commitment to Infrastructural development and people -oriented projects.
Speaking on the Recurrent Expenditure which has a total of N8,071,019,405.77(Eight Billion, Seventy One Million, Nineteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Five Naira, Seventy Seven Kobo), the Council Boss stated that it was carefully structured to maintain administrative efficiency, enhance staff welfare, and guarantee uninterrupted service delivery to the good people of Oredo, thereby ensuring the smooth running of government, payment of salaries, pension, and the effective delivery of essential services.
According to him, the 2026 Budget aligns seamlessly with the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the ‘Project Shine Agenda’ of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Adding that the Capital component of the budget is focused on critical Sectors such as road rehabilitation; market development; strengthening primary healthcare; environmental Sanitation; agricultural support programmes; youth empowerment initiatives; and improved security architect within the various communities in Oredo.
He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to deliver the dividend of democracy to the good people of Oredo by ensuring that every Kobo allocated in the budget is judiciously utilized for the collective good of the good people of Oredo across the Wards
On his part, the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Reliance Okungbowa commended the Chairman for the developmental strides being witnessed in the Local Government Area.
He assured the Chairman that the house will give the Budget a speedy passage. Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation budget to the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Reliance Okungbowa, tagged, ‘Budget of Consolidation and Sustainable Development’
Present at the Budget presentation were; Rtd. Gen. Charles Airiavbere, Hon. Osaro Obaze, former Oredo Council Chairman, Mr. Osamudiamen Osarenkhoe, LGA Chairman, party leaders, Ward Chairmen, and other stakeholders across the LGA
Meanwhile party leaders in the local government led by Rtd. Gen. Charles Airiavbere commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri for his developmental strides spread across the length and breath of the Local Government while assuring him of their unflinching support in his quest to take Oredo Local Government to greater heights.
