Endorsement of Non-Protest Stance for Kogi State

Endorsement of Non-Protest Stance for Kogi State

Kogi State, Nigeria – July 26, 2024

In light of the recent announcement by the Bauchi State Government, which firmly stated its position against the planned nationwide hunger protests, we, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youth leadership of Kogi State, hereby endorse a similar stance for our state. As responsible leaders, it is our duty to ensure the peace and stability of our communities during these challenging times.

While we recognize and deeply empathize with the pain and hardship faced by Nigerians, we believe that protests, particularly those under the tag “Hunger dey ooo,” may not yield the desired results and could potentially escalate tensions and cause further disruptions. Our commitment is to the safety and well-being of all citizens of Kogi State.

The current economic situation is undeniably difficult, and we acknowledge the struggles that many are enduring. However, we urge all citizens to remain patient and trust that the government is working tirelessly to address these issues. The challenges we face are not insurmountable, and with collective effort and understanding, we can overcome them.

We assure all Kogites and Nigerians that the President under the APC government is dedicated to fostering a better Nigeria. Efforts are being made at various levels of governance to improve the economic conditions and provide relief to those in need. We are confident that with sustained focus and commitment, a brighter future is within reach.

We call on all our youths and citizens to engage in constructive dialogue and collaboration, rather than protests, to find sustainable solutions to our problems. Let us stand together, united in our resolve to build a prosperous and peaceful Nigeria.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Signed,
Hon Prince Oluwakayode Emmanuel Eseyin

PDP Youth Leader,
Kabba-Bunu,
Kogi State.
