ENDBADGOVERNCE CAMPAIGN/ PROTEST:

By: Prof John Alabi PhD.
I most warmly recognize and appreciate the youths of this country that are alive and responsive to the ongoings in the nation and are pursuing this legitimately and lawfully but condemned the acts of looting or destruction by some few miscreants.

Let’s however address the real issues, the fundamentals for the current quagmire
✓The current protest is a social media mobilized movement by youths, which is instigated or propelled by harsh and unpalatable economic situation in the country, evidenced in hunger, unemployment, inflation, high cost of living, and poor state of infrastructure in the country.

✓Solutions to address this self imposed hardship is both immediate and long term.

Immediately, govt should address some of their demands. eg reduce the cost of fuel, electricity and food.
Lead by example by reducing significantly cost of governance and name and shame corrupt leaders and officers.

Lesson for PBAT:
THINK THROUGH BEFORE TAKING ANY DECISIONS.

Leaders, should make SMART DECISIONS, to avoid the hidden traps and un-intended consequences of decision, as we currently is passing through NOW.
