The Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye while in a chat with media men during the recent Ekinrin Adde Day 2021, disclosed that community day is targeted at repositioning Education in the community.
The Legislator laments high level infrastructural decay that the two secondary schools in the community is faced with.
In his words, Omofaiye said “This year’s Ekinrin Adde Day is targeted at having a more conducive environment for learning for the student in the community”
“By the time you go round the two secondary schools we have in the community, you will see that the structures there are nothing to write home about. All are dilapidated”
That is why we are ensuring that we put our resources together so that we can bring back the lost glory of Ekinrin Adde in the area of Education”.
Omofaiye further stated that the community like any other community across the country is face with different levels of insecurity, but that Ekinrin Adde community has taken it upon herself to improve the security situation.
This he said, informed the fund raising organised by the community to procure a patrol van and to get more Security hands to ensure the safety of lives and property and to enhance peaceful living.
He concluded that, the efforts to a secured community is an effort to compliment the effort of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration.
