As Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr, the member representing Idah federal constituency at the house of representatives, Abuja has called for sustained prayers for peace in nigeria and particularly to end insecurity in parts of the country.
Zacharias believes with prayers which is one of the core activities of the ramadan period, and commitment and love the wave of killings, kidnappings, herdsmen attacks and banditry will be surmounted.
He said the peace, security and unity of the country must be placed above personal and sectional interests, as keeping Nigeria safe and united is a task for all its citizens.
The lawmaker urged Muslims in his constituency and the state to promote the values and lessons of Ramadan such as piety, generosity, peaceful coexistence and justice.
He acknowledged and appreciates the prayers made by the Muslim community for him and the entire Idah federal constituency, adding that sharing with one another would go a long way to ease the economic situations in the country.
Zacharias assures Idah constituency that the security agencies have been charged to live above board in ensuring that a crime free festivity is celebrated.
He wished all Muslims peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations and better days ahead.
