The Vice President West Africa, Pan-African Youth Union, Oladele John Nihi sends warm Eid Mubarak greetings to All African Muslims. In his message sent from New York, United States of America, he reflected on the significance of the festival and its relevance to the African continent.
According to Oladele John Nihi, Eid Mubarak is an important occasion that reminds of the values of unity, compassion, and togetherness. This resonates with the core principles of the Pan-African Youth Union.
“Eid Mubarak is a significant Islamic festival celebrated to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, where Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset to purify their souls and dedicate themselves to Allah through self-reflection, prayer, and charity”.
The youth leader also stressed the importance of tolerance, respect, and understanding among people of different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds. While calling on all Africans, regardless of their religion or ethnicity, to work together to overcome the challenges facing the continent, such as under development, inequality, and conflict. He also commended the efforts of the youth in Africa in promoting social justice, human rights, and democracy.
Oladele John Nihi is currently in the United States of America for United Nations Youth Summit holding at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
