The President, Kogi State Chapter, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Comr Tade Adeyemi, has urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims in Kogi State to continue to uphold the lessons of love, loyalty and sacrifice which are the hallmarks of the Eid El Kabir festival.
Comr. Tade in a statement issued to felicitate with Muslims on the auspicious occasion of the 2022 Eid El Kabir celebration, congratulated Muslims for witnessing yet another Eid El Kabir.
“We can collectively confront our challenges as a nation and build a truly peaceful and prosperous Nigeria by acknowledging the supremacy of God, demonstrating genuine love and respect for one another and commitment to peaceful living”, Comr. Tade said in a statement.
The President urged Muslims in the Local Government to use the occasion for prayers for the Local Government Autonomy bill, pointing out that with the passage of the bill by some State Houses of Assembly, there seem to be light at the end of the tunnel.
The NULGE President advised workers at the local government areas to eschew all forms of violence, live in peaceful co-existence and be their brother’s keeper.
While praying for God to bless the workers and there families, Comr. Tade wished them peace and prosperity, congratulated them on the celebration of the 2022 Eid El Kabir.
