The Chairman of Gamji Group, who was the Director of Protocol and Event (North), APC Presidential Campaign Council, Alh. (Dr.) Sanusi Abukakar, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.
In his Sallah message from the Holy Land, titled, “CELEBRATION OF HOPE” urged Nigerians to keep hope alive as sooner than we expect, we would see the light at the end of the tunnel having come this far.
“Nigerians are special breed of people with innate qualities of perseverance and resilience. With the new administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President- elect coming on board, a man who has abundantly demonstrated such persevering and resilient qualities, will put Nigeria back on track and takes us to the Promised land.”
Alh. Abubakar further admonished the Muslims to be one another brothers’ keepers by engaging in such act of Ibadah, particularly those that Allah has been so blessed, to help the less privileged in the society.
He said, “Most of us were not born with a silver spoon. Having tasted hardship in one way or the other as we grew up, there is a need to show empathy and love to those who have not been able to break the chord of poverty, by sharing with them, during this season and beyond, the Grace Allah has been able to
show to us.”
Alh. Abukakar, a businessman and a philanthropist par excellence, further reemphasized and advised Muslims to imbibe and practise what Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) said: “Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. Whoever alleviates the situation of one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, Allah will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter.”
While on this Lesser Hajj, he offered prayers for economic prosperity and security for our dear State, Kogi and Nigeria at large.
In conclusion, he cautioned the people, as they celebrate, not to throw modesty and vigilance to the wind.
