The All Progressives Congress Frontline Kogi West Senatorial District Aspirant, Hon. Sunday Steve Karimi has congratulated Muslims in the state, particularly those from Kogi West as they celebrate Eid-El Fitr after the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
In his Eid-El Fitr message, Hon. Karimi charged Muslim faithful to sustain the lessons of sacrifice, selflessness, tolerance, discipline and love learnt during the period of Ramadan, noting that the virtues are necessary in achieving peace, unity and sustainable socio-economic development in the country.
Hon. Karimi said, “I felicitate with our Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr after completing the Ramadan fast, a major pillar of Islam.
“The Holy month of Ramadan provided a fine opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to reconnect with Allah, showing love, care and compassion to one another, especially at this time when majority of citizens are experiencing hardship arising from the nation’s harsh economic realities.
“However, I urge you not to forget the lessons learnt during this period. We must continue to imbibe the virtues of love, tolerance, sacrifice and charity, as taught by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W), as it is only then can we be certain of achieving peace and unity, and place the country on the path of sustainable development.”
The Frontline Aspirant assured of his avowed commitment to if elected make Kogi West an envy through robust legislative engagement and contribution.
Hon. Karimi said “Yes it is time” for the people to make wise decision by taking their destinies in their hands to seek for quality representation, assuring that he has the capacity for effective representation, promised to justify the mandate if elected.
Hon. Karimi congratulated Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and all Muslims in Kogi West Senatorial District on the auspicious occasion of the celebration of Eid El Fitr.
