The people of Egbe town has eulogised the state governor, Yahaya Bello over the provision of Information and Communication Technological centre in Otun Mirinmi, a part of Egbe community.
The traditional ruler of the community, the Elegbe of Egbe, HRM, Oba Ayodele Irukera who spoke on behalf of the community said the ICT centre will be pivotal to the running of the proposed Open University, Egbe Study Centre.
This was contained in a letter of appreciation addressed to the General Manager of the facilitating agency, Community and Social Development Agency, Mallam Daudu Momoh.
The letter reads apart, “The Elegbe of Egbe, His Royal Highness Oba Ayodele Irukera has expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State
for providing the Otun Mirinmi Information and Communication Technology Centre to Egbe Community.
According to Oba Irukera, “government came to the rescue of the project when the community found it difficult to continue with it, due to donor fatigue’.
The Royal father stressed that the ICT centre would go a long way in facilitating E-Learning especially with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Oba Irukera said the Egbe people were particularly appreciative to governor
Yahaya Bello for providing the opportunity and platform for development through the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency.
