The Kogi State Commissioner for Police, Ayuba Ede has declared that with the arrival of men of the recently launched operation Puff Adder 11 into the State Criminal elements in the State are in trouble.
CP Ayuba Ede expressed optimism that there will be no hiding place again for criminals and kidnappers in the State when he welcomed men of the recently launched Operation Puff Adder II into the State, called on them to dislodge the criminal elements in the State and deny them space to return to any part of the state.
The Police Commissioner described the men of the Puff Adder 11 deployed to the State by the Inspector General of Police as men of proven integrity, gallant officers, carefully selected to end kidnapping and other crimes.
The CP said the state has been challenging the issues of insecurity particularly kidnapping, noted that the command has been able to drastically reduce the trend in 2020, pointed out that the recent surge of Kidnapping noticed recently in the State is occasioned by the challenges faces by states bordering Kogi facing herders challenges, making them to move into the State.
He however expressed optimism that the end of Kidnapping and other crimes have come to an end with the coming into the State men of the operation Puff Adder 11.
He called on the men of the Puff Adder to work in protecting lives and properties, said anyone who would not be law abiding should quickly live the state as there will no longer be a place for criminals.
The Commissioner expressed sadness at the activities of kidnappers, assured that with the team of men of the Puff Adder 11 now in the State, issues of kidnapping would now be a thing of the past.
The Commissioner noted that the entire state would be looking out for major outcomes as the discharge their duties.
