A High Court sitting in Jabi Abuja has declared Doctor Isah Obele as Chairman of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) and President, Traditional Medicine Practitioners Association, Kogi State Chapter.
The judgement was delivered on the fourth of November by Justice H.M. Aliyu of the High Court, Jabi.
In the judgement, Justice Aliyu maintained that second to fifteenth claimants were legally elected by the eligible members.
According to him, they remain the lawful national executive till seventeenth November, 2023.
He said the actions of the first to second defendants seeking to conduct elections into the national offices was wrongful, unlawful illegal and void.
The Justice placed an order of perpetual injunction, restraining the two defendants, their agents, privies, cronies or allies in whatever guise from conducting any election or parading as anything until the expiration of their tenure.
The Court also ordered the two defendants to jointly pay to the claimants the sum of fifty million naira as general damages as well as pay two million naira as cost of prosecuting the suit.
The defendants are Dr Ibrahim Dada Nakowa and Dr Sunday Olarewaju.
The judgement brings to rest, the claim of existence of Modern Traditional Medicine by Doctor Ibrahim Dada Nakowa.
