The Kogi State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party says it would win the forthcoming Local Government Election if the ballot boxes are brought to the polling Units.
Alhaji Mouktah Atimah, State Chairman of SDP made the disclosure in an interview, said the party has put behind it the episode of the last General and Governoship election, said ” we’re prepared to win now.”
The State Chairman said so far it is impressed with the preparation of the State Independent Electoral Commission, assuring that if the election are free and fair, SDP would win clean and clear all the seats.
The SDP Chairman urged the Chairman of SIEC to strive to write his name in gold, said the Council Election is a grassroots Election, insisting that the interest of the people must be put into consideration by conducting a credible polls.
The SDP Chairman said it is participating in the December 12 polls because of the wide support base the party has ganared across the state, said the party will shock the APC in the coming polls.
The SDP Chairman urged the security agencies to in the forthcoming Local Government Election ensure professionalism and be neutral, warned against taking sides.
The Chairman called on youths to shun antisocial vices and be peaceful during the forthcoming Local Government Election, appealed to them to vote candidates of there choice.
Alhaji Mouktah Atimah appealed to the youths to vote SDP candidates in the forthcoming Local Government Election, insisting and assuring that the SDP has fielded candidates with contents and are grassrooted.
He assured that if elected, the SDP would change the narratives by ensuring regular payment of salaries, improved securty, adequate health care and education in the local government level of administration.
