The Chairman, Lokoja LGA, Comr. Abdullahi Adamu has presented a draft estimate of N7,483,139,210 for 2025 for consideration by the Local Government Area lawmakers.
Comr. Abdullahi made the disclosure at the presentation of 2025 draft estimates of Lokoja Local Government Area to the legislative council, said the budget is a balanced budget.
Comr. Abdullahi tasked the legislative council of Lokoja Local Government for perusal and approval of the estimate, promised achievable results without bias.
The Council Chairman said the 2025 draft estimate is geared towards the fulfillment of his electioneering promises, tagged the budget as ‘budget of enviable and unprecedented transformation’ when eventuaily passed.
He added that there is ongoing efforts to increase the Local Government Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), pointing out that many windows of revenue items are now open to the Local Government.
The Chairman noted that the total sum of N7,483,139,210 will rely on expected revenue from Statutory Allocation of
N3,749, 131,380, VAT N3,090,618,550, IGR, N361,582,770 and Other Grants N326,806,510.
Similarly personnel Cost is put at N3,225,773,680 overhead N1,270,260,740 with total recurrent Expenditure amounting to
N4,496,034,420.
The capital Expenditure was allocated N232,860,890.
