Here is a public announcement by the Kogi State Water Board on the gradual release of water from the old Lokoja Water Works.
The gradual release of pipe borne water to Lokoja Metropolis from the Old Lokoja Water works will
commence on Friday 11th October,2024 From 9:00am
This is to test run the new facilities and carry out trouble shooting exercise to identify areas that will require the Board’s urgent attention after a long period of none usage.
The general public is therefore advised to avoid consumption for now as our Reservoirs are still undergoing disinfection and cleaning.
The Kogi State Water Board will inform members of the public once the water is safe for consumption .
