BEEN AN OPEN LETTER TO H.E ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE.

Your Excellency Sir,

I bring greetings to you in the name of the almighty God the most merciful and gracious, I hope this letter meets you well? In any case God has always been your strength and evidently your physical agility and youthful vibrancy is very obvious to ascertain.

Sir, I find this letter appropriate and timely to write you on a salient and topical issues that bothers on governance, party internal democracy and youth participation in elective positions.

Your Excellency, the choice of an open letter was the available option to reach you faster since the process of reaching you can be stressful and time consuming due to your tight schedule and formal process and bureaucracy of access you.

It is on history record that your frontline emancipation for youth and women participation in governance and empowerment has been written in gold. That you have laid a precedence and an enabling platform for children of nobody to become somebody in government positions they list expected is a trailblazer already acknowledged and known to all.

This impeccable acts of yours amongst others has made this letter eminent and necessary to call your attention to our future yearnings.

Your excellency, as a leading youth advocate and Nigerian youths candidate for Presidency 2023. It is important that we begin our charity from home. to ease our outing and justify our agitations to the outside world.
As a youth in governance leader and advocate, it is deem necessary that by 2023 a good percentage of elective position should be basically reserved for the youth.

Let me make Kogi west as a case study and the basis for my opinion. You will recall that despite our party’s good outing in the last general election, basic federal constituency was won by the opposition party. Not because we couldn’t have won but the fact that we fielded inexperienced and unpopular candidates who somehow got the party tickets on the platter of gold and assumed they could win based on the party’s large influence but unfortunately the masses couldn’t vote them in because they were not the people’s choice or peoples friendly. This needs to be forestall ahead of the coming election to avert same fate.

Your Excellency, by the grace of almighty God we are hopeful you are the next president of our great nation and it is expected the message we preach must be seen operational and working in Kogi State.

Sir, Kogi westerners love and cherish you because you have touched them with meaningful developments which years to come the proceeds and results will manifest, therefore what seems to make election winning stressful for our dear party here is simple grieve of the wrong persons given tickects to contest general elections and most times not pacifying or reconciling with the aggrieved parties.

As a listening leader and in the interest of our party and for a good national outing, I pray thee your excellency To forthwith do your research on candidates vying for positions to ascertain their credibility and acceptability by their people so as not to offend the people to keep them against our party.

I assure your excellency that the Apc is generally loved and accepted by the masses and that your Government open door policy has given room for improvements in performance and kogites are in good terms with you and ready for your presidency assignment by the grace of God we are hopeful that it will be achieved.

Our prayer is that, you give a good percentage of elective positions allotted for the Youth.

That you may allow the people’s choice and popular candidates prevail

That primaries of the party should be allowed to be a level playing ground for all

That people who have served the people over and over again in different capacities should be stepped down for new brains to show their expertise.

The purpose is to show that you lead by example. This we humbly appeal your excellency

Yours Sincerely
Olatunji Adekunle
Apc Member and Concerned GYBist.
