Ata Igala, His Royal Majesty Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa 111 has called on indigenes of Kogi State to shun violence or anything that could tear the state apart.
His Royal Majesty made the call during his New Year message at the church service, held in the Palace Chapel at Idah.
The Ata who prayed for bumper harvest and development, said his coming on board as Ata, was for the love and development of the State.
He encouraged Kogites to boast the state economy through investment and engaged in trade that could help in their financial upliftment.
He also called on individuals and philanthropist to care for orphans and the less privileged in the society.
The Royal Father urged the people to unite saying in unity, growth and development would abound.
