Kogi State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners, Doctor Isah Obele has described the appointment of the National President, Alhaji Chief Shaaba Maikudi as member of Governing Board, Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation as well deserved.
Chief Shaaba Maikudi was recently appointed as member of the Nigerian Natural Medicine Development Agency, NNMDA.
In a congratulatory message, Doctor Isah Obele noted that the National President has so far demonstrated intelligence in traditional medicine system and general administration.
He explained that the achievements of Chief Shaaba is second to none, hence the appointment from the Federal Government.
According to him, the National President’s appointment was a great honour to NANTMP as an umbrella body and thanked President Muhammed Buhari and other stakeholders for making the appointment possible.
Doctor Isah Obele expressed confidence that the National President will further bring his experience to bear in his new assignment.
He equally felicitated with the National Secretary of the Association, Idiagbon Kamarudeen on his appointment and wished them a successful assignment.
Meanwhile, Doctor Isah Obele has urged members across the state to remain united and avoid sentiments that are capable of drawing the Association backward.
He also called on local government chairmen of the Association to toe the path of peace and encourage members to register into the Association which is the only legally known umbrella body for traditional medicine practitioners.
Doctor Obele promised to leave an enduring legacy through purposeful leadership and appealed for members support at all times
