…to hold Wolrd Press Conference with First Class Chiefs scheduled to be in attendance
A pro – North Central support group, APC GYB2PYB Grassroots Mobilisation Ambassadors which is advocating for Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as Nigeria’s next President in 2023 has upped its activities and presented posters, banners and other campaign paraphernalia to its sole financier and former Commissioner for Works in Kogi State, Hon Abdulmumeen Sadiq.
Presenting the materials to the Commissioner in Abuja, the head of the group, Mr Yusuf Agye, said they were ready to mobilize all their members which includes leaders from all walks of life to demand in the strongest terms that the ruling party give its ticket to the Governor and that they were planning a World Press Conference to that effect.
They noted that the geopolitical zone has done more than enough for the country as the anchor of its unity and solidarity, and that the least any politician interested in fairness, unity, equity, and the future of the nation could do would be to back Governor Yahaya Bello for President.
The group’s head stated that the World Press Conference would witness the presence of key traditional rulers across the six states of the country, many of who are passionate about the project of GYB2PYB.
In his words; “To be frank, the Governor has, as a youth, demonstrated capacity to lead this country to prosperity by all standards. He has shown willingness to take this country, not only Kogi State, out of the current socioeconomic and political challenges confronting it.
“We just have to begin to pave the way for youthful leadership to take over this nation. The country needs better, more progressive thinking leader to get to our developmental destination. We all know we can’t continue like this,” he noted.
According to Mr Agye, Governor Bello is a man that believes in equity and justice which are ingredients lacking in many aspects of the country and fanning the embers of discord across the nation, ‘hence the need to give the young, energetic, dynamic and visionary Governor the chance to take the nation to the zenith of development.’
Reacting, former Commissioner for Works in the State, Hon Abdulmumeen Sadiq thanked the body for their commitment towards GYB2PYB course, noting that he is overwhelmed by their show of support to the objectives.
He promised the group that their agitation would not go unrecognised, adding that the Governor never forgets those who assist, through genuine intentions, to make his political journey a success and that his success would rub off on everyone.
The Former Commissioner said, as the group’s sole sponsor, he is ready to meet all their needs to enable them succeed, adding that any GYB2PYB cause is worthy of his sacrifices to achieve a better Nigeria.
Recall that in their first visit to the former Commissioner last, the group told him their decision to back the Governor was because they were convinced by the Governor Bello’s disposition and consolidated efforts in combatting security in Kogi State, saying his approach was indeed complementing.
”We are convinced by His Excellency’s disposition and consolidated efforts in combatting security in Kogi State, his approach is indeed complementing. His zero tolerance to financial cruelty is also an index worthy of emulation. His people oriented leadership style appeal to us,” they noted in that visit.
