HON. MUHAMMAD Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar DISSOCIATES HIMSELF FROM USE OF HIS NAME IN UNAUTHORIZED ADC COMMITTEE LIST

August 7, 2025
The attention of Distinguish Honourable Muhammad Muhammad Ibukun Abubakar, a respected leader and key stakeholder in the African Democratic Party (ADC) coalition, has been drawn to a document circulating in the public domain purportedly listing members of a “Committee on Mobilization Registration” for Lokoja LGA under the ADC banner.
Hon. Abubakar wishes to state categorically that his name was included in this committee list without his knowledge, consent, or approval. He was neither consulted nor informed of the formation or purpose of such a committee, and as such, strongly dissociates himself from it.
It is both an insult and a downgrade to be so subjected to a ward level activity. As a senatorial candidate in the last general election and a leader of a political party prior to joining the current coalition, Hon. Muhammad Abubakar believes he deserves to be accorded the respect that his political journey and leadership position command not to be undermined by unauthorized and inappropriate associations.
As a committed democrat and advocate for transparent, inclusive political processes, Hon. Muhammad Abubakar believes in proper engagement and due process in all party activities. He views the unauthorized use of his name as a gross misrepresentation and a breach of ethical standards within the party.
He therefore calls on the public, party members, and stakeholders to disregard any documents or communications that associate his name with the aforementioned committee.
Hon. Muhammad Ibukun Abubakar remains committed to the growth and unity of the ADC and will continue to work toward strengthening the party through legitimate, inclusive platforms that respect all voices.
