DSS Arraigns 5 Suspects Over Kidnapping In Edo

The Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday arraigned five persons before an Edo State High Court over the alleged abduction of one Mr Iseriere in Benin City.
The accused persons, Ozo Obasuyi, Charles Edeho, Enofe Marvis, Johnbull Edoleyi, and Jeffery Igbinoba,were charged with an offence of kidnapping.
The case with No B/OD/2323m/2025 were brought before Justice A. N. Erhabor, who ordered their remand in prison custody.
According to the charges, the five defendants allegedly kidnapped Jeffery Iserere on 13 June 2025 in Eyean, Benin- Auchi road in Uhunmwode local government area of Edo State .
The act, the judge noted, contravene Section 2(1) of the Edo State Kidnapping Prohibition Law of 2013.
Honourable Justice Erhabor adjourned the case to a later date, awaiting legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP), to determine the next line of action in the prosecution.
