Judiciary, You’re Last hope of common man, let justice prevail – Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo Appeals

Judiciary, You’re Last hope of common man, let justice prevail – Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo Appeals.

Hon. Mohammed Sanni Gambo, who scored the highest votes in the August 31st congress of the People’s Democratic Party, says he is counting on the Judiciary to serve him justice and maintain it status as the hope of the common man.

Hon. Muhammed Sani Gambo in a statement issued to Newsmen, said he ought to have been declared winner of the August 31st 2024 Congress by the Kogi State High Court that delivered it ruling on February 18, 2025 and not the call for cancellation of the election

He pointed out that the election was adjudged as having met all the requirements having followed due process, fairness and justice.

Hon. Gambo said if the report of the Independent National Electoral Commission
Kogi State and the
Election and Political Party Monitoring Department that supervised the election is anything to go by, said the state congress of people’s Democratic Party (PDP)
held On 31st August, 2024, was free and fair.

According to him, having scored the highest votes, he ought to have been declared the Chairman, said it was an error for him not to have been declared as winner.

Hon. Gambo said the report of the State Congress committee, showed that the Congress procedures and
processes were followed, lamented why an election in which Enemona Anyebe was not a contestant, he will be denied justice having scored the highest votes, called on the Judiciary to be courageous and to dispassionately look at the facts presented before it to deliver justice without fear or favour.

He added that he ought to be declared winner and order for his swearing in immediately, pointing out that he is the duly elected Chairman of Kogi PDP.

Hon. Gambo said the Kogi State PDP Congress was contested by CAPT. AGADA JOE, GAMBO SANI, OGU INA DAVID, ANYEBE ENEMONA, AMEGO ELEOJO, but disclosed that as at August 31st, 2024, the court had barred through an order, Enemona Anyebe from contesting.

He said the order was not vacated nor set aside, also added that a High Court on 18 February, 2025 affirmed the case of contempt against Enemona, where it ordered his arrest.

He urged for his immediate swearing in as Chairman of the State PDP, pointing out that he has so much confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary, who have have delivered landmark judgement in the country where and when it matters, said his case cannot be different.

Hon. Gambo said if among the eligible contestants, duly certified to contest in the August 31st Congress, and having scored the highest votes in an election adjudged by the INEC and PDP monitoring and supervising team that observed the Congress, with the report in public domain, that he pulled the highest votes, wondered why the delay in his being declared and to be sworn in.

He demanded justice as quick as possible, pointing out that Enemona didn’t contest the election, because he was barred, called on others trying to usurp justice using ethnic sentiment to fear God as there is judgement hereafter,

He further added that he wondered why those who scored less in the Congress, while he pulled the highest votes would still be contending his being declared, expressed optimism that as the awaiting Chairman, the Judiciary will come to equity with clean hands as the facts are in public domain of gang up to deny his being declared the Kogi State PDP Chairman on account that he has no godfather and has no deep pockets.

Hon. Gambo said Justice delayed is justice denied, called for the NWC of PDP to take a look at the report before it, rely on the results of the Congress and swear him in immediately.

He said for an election that was zoned to Kogi East, wondered why his coming from Bassa LGA, one out of the nine Local Government areas in district should be his major undoing in a country where every citizen is equal before the law and the constitution of the Federal Republic.

” As at the day we conducted the congress. Enemona was not a participant. He has not challenged any of the order or judgment that barred him from participating in the Congress, an indication that conscience is an open wound, wondered the effrontery he and his cohort have in trying to ursurp justice and to deny him his political inalienable rights to be voted for.

” Amongst the contestant. I scored the highest votes. I wonder why the delay “, I’m the authentic Kogi State PDP Chairman, I should be inaugurated quickly reason why I look up to Almighty Allah and the Judiciary to dispense with the matter before it at the Federal High Court with thoroughness, fairness and Justice”.
